Preamble.
BAR France, Board of Airlines Representative, Association of the Representatives of Airline companies in France, is an association of the law of July 1st, 1901 which gathers the Managing directors (Representatives) for France of the companies carrying on an activity in France, either commercial with offices or autonomous organization, or operational, or both.
The Association was creates in 1949 under the name of PARK then of ARC. It adopted the international name of BAR France in December 2002. It federates the near total of the activity of air transport in France. Association represents 86 airline companies including 7 companies of French law and 79 alien companies.
Its head office is located at 66 avenue des Champs Elysées - 75008 Paris (telephone: 01 43 59 62 37).
Mission.
The purpose of BAR France is to facilitate the relations between its members and to represent their shared interests near the administration of the civil aviation, near the public authorities, of the professional organizations, the airports, the media and the public. It does not intervene in the tariff field nor in any agreement or limitations to the access of the companies to the French market. At the request of one or several companies, BAR France intervenes sometimes on their behalf in any particular business with regard to them, provided that this intervention does not go against the general interest of its members.
