Code of ethics
of BAR France.
Preamble.
BAR France is a trade association of which the goal is to inform, to represent, defend and help the directors of the airlines having an economic activity in France.
Its organization and its rules of operation, in conformity with the regulations of the French law of July 1, 1901, are defined in its statutes.
BAR France conforms scrupulously to the national and international rules prohibiting the breaches to the competition rules.
BAR France intervenes in all the questions of the competence of a director of airline in France to the absolute exclusion of any question having of near or by far a commercial character.
Values.
Equality between the members.
The fundamental rule which directs the actions of the Association is the respect and the research of the interest of the companies represented.
All the carried out actions are it in the interest of the whole of the members without exception nor distortion.
On the assumption that a conflict of interests between several companies members appears, the Association would abstain from intervening.
In any assumption, each company remains free of its decisions.
All the members of BAR France have the same rights and the same duties.
Any regular member of the Association can present his candidature for the election at the board and the presidency.
Confidentiality and transparency.
BAR France respects the confidentiality of information which is communicated to it by the companies.
BAR France acts in a transparent way towards its members, who have access to the files.
In all the cases where that is necessary or useful, the Association collects the opinion of its members to decide on an action or a position.
Respect of the laws and regulations.
BAR France acts in the respect of the national and international common laws, especially the competition rules, and with the national and international rules specific to aeronautics.
Competence and professionalism.
BAR France acts in the most professional possible way, while resting on the competence of its members and by calling upon the best experts where necessary.
BAR France acts with intellectual honesty and prohibits any fallacious operation.
The meetings are held in general in French language but some are especially organized for the members who speak only English.
The meetings are organised with precise agendas and formalised reports.
The written communications are, for the majority, made in the two languages.
Mutual respect.
Without intervening in the relations between its members, association ensures each one the respect of the others at the same time on the professional level and the personal level.
The meetings are held under decent and economic conditions.
Economic management.
The financial contribution requested from the members is calculated to allow a significant and professional action while weighing least possible on the budgets of the companies.
The administrative expenditures are reduced to the minimum.
Information detailed on financial management is provided to the members at the time of the annual general assembly and is at the disposal of the members in a permanent way.
Penalties.
Any member company of BAR France, that would not conform to the code of ethics could be excluded after a special deliberation of the board where the concerned company could defend itself.
